A charming vintage French wooden “JETONS” box with a sliding lid and assorted colorful game counters inside. The box is simply and beautifully constructed, with small finger-jointed / box-jointed corners, a sliding wood top, and visible small nails and age-worn edges that give it wonderful utilitarian character.
The bold black “JETONS” lettering on the lid makes it especially decorative, while the handwritten markings and original wear add to its French brocante charm. Inside are assorted red, green, blue, and black counters, including several numbered pieces. Measures 6½" L x 2¾" W x 1½" H.
