Vintage French Hammered Copper Cachepot 6½" H

A vintage hammered copper cachepot with a richly textured surface and decorative scalloped rim. The body is covered in dense hand-hammered dimpling, giving the copper wonderful depth and character. A slightly flared neck and repeating embossed border around the rim add an elegant decorative finish. The copper has developed a naturally aged surface with areas of dark oxidation and green verdigris, especially to the interior, creating the warm patina collectors look for in older copper pieces. It measures 8¼" W x 6½" H
