Vintage French Amber Majolica Oyster Plate, Shell & Basketweave Seafood Plate

A  vintage French-style majolica oyster plate with a rich amber glaze and raised shell-form wells. The design features five scallop shell sections surrounding a central well, with a molded basketweave background and rope-style border.

The warm honey brown glaze has lovely tonal variation, giving the piece a classic French country and coastal feel. A wonderful piece for serving oysters, seafood, hors d’oeuvres, or for display in a kitchen, dining room, or cabinet collection.

Measures approximately 9½" D. Shows vintage wear, including glaze variation, small firing marks, minor surface wear, and age-related imperfections.
