British Silver-Plated Shell

This vintage silver-plated clam shell dish is a striking and versatile accent piece. Its large, sculptural form rests on integrated feet, making it both functional and decorative. Whether used to serve crudités, hold wrapped candies, or simply placed on an entryway table as a statement piece, it adds a touch of novelty and elegance to any setting. The dish is stamped on the reverse with a hallmark attributed to Elkington & Co., a renowned British silversmith known for their fine electroplated silver from the 19th and 20th centuries. It was sourced at a market in France and measures 10″ wide by 1¾″ high.
