Antique Wedgwood A2031 Aesthetic Movement Footed Centerpiece Bowl, Circa 1880

An antique English footed centerpiece bowl by Wedgwood, decorated in pattern A2031 and dating to the late 19th century.

The bowl features an elaborate Victorian Aesthetic Movement border with alternating black floral panels, delicate all-over blossoms and stylized pink flowers, all accented with vivid red enamel detailing. Applied geometric handles with molded floral ornament flank either side, while the bowl rests on a broad pedestal foot decorated with a repeating black motif.

The warm cream-colored earthenware and extensive age-related crazing give the piece wonderful antique character. The underside bears an impressed WEDGWOOD mark along with the hand-painted pattern number A2031. It measures 10"D x 5"H
