An antique Vallerysthal French opaline glass covered box in opaque white milk glass. The rectangular box is molded with a finely textured basketweave pattern, while the fitted lid is topped with a dimensional reclining dog figure that serves as the decorative finial.
The crisp molded texture and monochromatic white glass give the piece a sculptural quality, making it equally appealing as a small storage box or decorative object. There are numerous chips on the base of the box. It measures 4"W x 2¾"D x 4½"

Please keep in mind when buying antique and vintage items you are purchasing something that is pre-loved. Most items show signs of age-related wear such as marks, variations of surface texture, minor scratches, and other issues associated with age. It’s what forms a part of the appearance of vintage pieces, but that’s also what makes them so unique. All sales are final. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about a particular item. Thank you
