A small antique stoneware jar with a hinged pewter lid and raised floral relief decoration around the body. The jar has a rich warm brown glaze, molded flower and bouquet motifs, and a rounded pewter collar and lid with a simple knob.

Originally likely used as a tobacco jar, small storage pot, or table canister, this piece now makes a beautiful decorative accent for a shelf, desk, kitchen, or antique pottery collection. The combination of brown glazed stoneware and aged pewter gives it a wonderful old-world European character. It measures 3½"D x 4¾"H
