Antique French Silvered Servant Call Bell Push

An antique French electric servant call bell push, dating to the early 20th century, approximately 1900–1925.

The pendant-style push is made from silvered metal and richly decorated with embossed floral and foliate motifs. A raised central button activates the mechanism, while the elongated lower section is finished with additional engraved leaf decoration.

The piece retains a long length of brown twisted fabric-covered electrical cord, an especially attractive original feature that gives it strong period character. These handheld or bedside bell pushes were used in private homes and hotels to summon household staff or attendants. It measures 4" L x 2 ¼" W not including string.
