Small antique French glazed terracotta pot with a rustic pale yellow glaze over a warm red clay body. The piece has a simple hand-thrown form, an unglazed terracotta lower section, and a beautifully timeworn surface with speckling, glaze wear, mineral marks, and age-related imperfections.
This type of glazed earthenware is closely associated with traditional French provincial pottery, especially the rustic glazed terracotta pieces often used in southern and southwestern France. Its earthy color, imperfect glaze, and aged surface make it a beautiful decorative accent for a French country kitchen, shelf, garden room, or collected pottery display. It measures 4½"H x 4½"D

Please keep in mind when buying antique and vintage items you are purchasing something that is pre-loved. Most items show signs of age-related wear such as marks, variations of surface texture, minor scratches, and other issues associated with age. It’s what forms a part of the appearance of vintage pieces, but that’s also what makes them so unique. All sales are final. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about a particular item. Thank you
