Small antique French glazed terracotta pot with a rustic pale yellow glaze over a warm red clay body. The piece has a simple hand-thrown form, an unglazed terracotta lower section, and a beautifully timeworn surface with speckling, glaze wear, mineral marks, and age-related imperfections.

This type of glazed earthenware is closely associated with traditional French provincial pottery, especially the rustic glazed terracotta pieces often used in southern and southwestern France.
