Antique French Gien Strawberry Plate No. 126

A beautiful antique Gien France faience plate, No. 126, decorated with a richly colored strawberry motif featuring ripe red berries, green leaves, and soft shaded foliage.

The painterly decoration and warm aged surface give the plate wonderful character, while the 8½-inch size makes it ideal for a plate wall, hutch display, or collection of antique French ceramics. The reverse bears the Gien mark with No. 126, and the piece dates to approximately the late 19th to early 20th century.

Condition: Good antique condition with overall crazing and age-related surface wear. There are two small glaze skips / firing imperfections on the decorated surface, visible in the photos. These appear to be original manufacturing flaws rather than later chips.
