An antique Gien France faience plate, No. 125, decorated with a striking plum motif featuring deep purple plums, green leaves, and a dramatic cobalt-to-pale-blue shaded background. The bold botanical decoration gives the plate a wonderfully graphic quality while retaining the softness and charm of early French faience. The reverse bears the Gien mark with No. 125, identifying the maker and pattern/model reference. It measures 8½" D
