An antique serving basket featuring a colorful floral porcelain plate set within an intricate twisted-wire frame. The porcelain is decorated with pink and blue flowers, green foliage, golden scrollwork, and a finely patterned pink border.
The darkened metal basket has openwork sides and two decorative loop handles. The underside of the plate is impressed “B 4½” and bears a hand-painted pink number 34. These are most likely factory, size, shape, or decoration references. Similar marks have been associated with Minton, but the manufacturer cannot be confirmed. It measures 10" D x 3½"H
