Beautiful antique oil painting on canvas, signed E. Ellas, depicting a serene European coastal village scene with docked sailboats and figures along the shoreline. The warm earth tones of the buildings contrast beautifully with the green-blue sea and pale sky. Housed in its original richly carved giltwood frame with classic floral and leaf detailing, the painting measures 21¾" wide by 15¼" high. Minor wear and losses to the frame consistent with age add authentic character. A lovely decorative maritime landscape, ideal for collectors of European coastal art and antique interiors.
